Ipod vs. the cassette

This site features a fair, balanced and very detailed comparison between the Ipod and the cassette. Click on start slideshow and see how both perform on the various tests. Before you click the link, pick who you think will win so you can see if you were right.

Kaleidoscope

This site has a great interactive kaleidoscope on it. Just drag your mouse around the screen in any direction you want and it will react perfectly. I played with it so long I got dizzy :D

Cool commercial

This is a very cool Citroën commercial. The car becomes a robot.
A dancing robot! :D
Really reminded me of transformers. Check it out.

Stickfight

This is a flash movie of a total war of stickymen, stickyvehicles and chat abbreviations. Too weird for words, but very entertaining. :)

Huge picture

Think your 5 megapixel camera is great? Well, it's peanuts compared to this.
These guys took a 2.5 billion pixel picture. When you go to the site you'll see a panoramic picture of Delft, the netherlands.
When you zoom in the picture stays sharp. You can zoom in until you can read the license plates of the cars. Truly amazing!

Defend the castle

This is one of the best games I've played lately. You have to defend your castle from the barbarians. Just click on them and toss them in the air. You get archers, wizards and kamikaze soldiers to help you. I managed to get to lvl 14. It gets really hard there because they start to use huge barbarians to help the little ones from that point.:) You can save your progress so you don't have to restart every time you play or if you don't like to play too long at a time.

How it works: the computer

In this book published in 1971 and revised in 1979, they try to explain what a computer is and what it does. The funny part for me is the excessive use of terms like mini-units and micro-units to describe computers that only fill half a room instead of the usual full room :D
Anyway, it's nice vintage stuff that reminds us what long way computers took to become the small-sized, super powered machines we know today.
Enjoy

Which kind of blogger...

Am I? Apparently I'm a link blogger.
No way!
Pretty accurate if you ask me :)

You Are a Link Blogger!

Your blog is more about cool links than thoughtful posts.
Better to be entertaining and brief than longwinded and boring!

What kind of blogger are you?

Earth Pictures

These are some great looking pictures of the Earth taken from 300 miles high.
With that new, privatly build spaceship, maybe it won't be long before we can go up ourselves and take pictures like this :)
But for now we'll have to do with the ones that are handed to us by the astronauts.:)

Who's line is it anyway

This is a absolutely frikkin' hilarious movie from the time Richard Simmons guest starred in who's line is it anyway. Simmons plays a prop in one round, and he gets a little too into it. One of the best episodes of that show ever.

Queen

Know the Queen song "another one bites the dust"?
Well, turns out it has a hidden message in it. Well, at least according to THIS site :D
They took a piece from the song, reversed the sound and slapped in on their site.
Check it out.

Burning games

Do you feel you are paying to much for video games? Do you wish you could burn them for fr-ee yourself? Well, THIS site gives you the insight on how you can successfully burn a Xbox or PS2 game at home yourself. You don't need no CD-RW or DVD-RW or other complicated and expensive equipment. A handy toaster will do the job. :D

Illusion

Want to see a great optical illusion? Then check this out optical illusion dragon
Which ever way the camera turns, the dragon's head follows it. Only at the very end, when the camera shows the dragon at a certain angle, you can see how the head is shaped. Very cool.

Puzzle

If you like hard, (and I mean HARD), puzzles, then this is something for you. Try it out, but don't feel bad if you get stuck really quick. I'm still trying to figure out lvl 3 and I heard the game has around 25 really hard levels in total. I'll update if I advance to a next level, but you can try to outrun me :)

Good luck

EDIT: got to lvl 4.
EDIT: got to lvl 5.
EDIT: got to lvl 6.
EDIT: with some help in a forum I got to 9.
EDIT: got to lvl 20 with a huge deal of help from that forum :)
I would post the URL of the forum, but it's a Dutch forum, so that wouldn't
be of much help. :)

Hidden pictures

This site features pictures that look normal at first sight, but if you look closer you'll see that every picture has a hidden picture in it. Very cool.
If you really can't figure one out,(the rose one is pretty hard), then you can use the spoiler function which shows you where the hidden image is located.
This kind of stuff shows what great, artistic stuff can be done when you know some photoshop.

Crop circles

I always loved crop circles, but not for the "alien mystery" that usually surrounds them. Many people believe they are made by UFO's, but that has never been the point for men when looking at them. Maybe they are made by "aliens", maybe they're not. I don't care.
I just assume they are made by normal people and concentrate on the important part of them: their looks. Their geometrical shapes are stunning, just plain beautiful! And that's the reason why I love them. Check out this site for a look at some very pretty ones :)
