optical illusion in color perception




I found a site with 3 very incredible optical illusions. No matter what you do, how you look, or where you look, you think you see different colors. BUT they are all the SAME color. The last one is the best, you think you see one yellow and one purple centerpiece, but the 'yellow' and the 'purple' are EXACTLY the same color. Very weird, very cool.

Rocket car

Want to buy a Turbine Jet Engine powered Toyota MR2? This guy installed some jet engines, a very big front spoiler and other modifications to his car in order to make it a rocket. He states he went 187 miles an hour with it on the salt flats.
I'm thinking this would be great for stop light drag races. But you would have to watch out that the car behind you isn't a convertible when you start, cause I don't think they would like it when they become human toast :D

Homebrew air conditioning

Stuck in a warm house without air conditioning? This guy found a solution to build your own airco. He directs ice water through a copper tube that's attached to a fan. The cooled copper is cooling the air around and the fan blows the cool air through the room. Very inventive.

Abandoned bicycles of new York

This site shows a few of the tons of abandoned bicycles that can be found in New York. Some of these pictures are very good looking and others are just very weird images of old bikes in perished places. Very fascinating.
